Serving Our Church Family

Altar Guild

The Altar Guild volunteers work together to prepare our beautiful sanctuary for worship services. We always welcome new volunteers who would like to donate their time keeping our sanctuary well-prepared for worship services. What exactly does the Altar Guild do?

  • Set up the altar for worship services.
  • Prepare and maintain all the linens used for worship services.
  • Sponsor a Sacramental Wine to replenish the wine for communion.
  • Prepare the sanctuary for baptisms, confirmation, weddings, funeral, and season events.

Acolyte

Acolytes are a very important part of our worship service. They are responsible for lighting the altar candles before the service to signify that the service is beginning, accept the offering plates, assist with communion when needed, and to extinguish the candles at the end of the service to signify the of the worship service.

Lector

At each service, a designated person reads the passages from the Bible for the service. This sharing of the scripture is a wonderful opportunity to serve the Lord with your voice speaking His words.

Audio / Video Crew

Worship at Faith uses modern technology to assist worship, including video monitors/screens showing the prayers, songs/lyrics, scripture lessons, announcements and other important worship notes. A new presentation is created each week, and we are looking for people to help present the audio/visual equipment.

Prayer/Vitality team

Intercessory prayer is one of the Christian's most important tools. By lifting up those in need, we bring them to the Lord for His healing hand, strength and comfort. Faith is looking for those who would like to be a part of a group that meets to pray for others and one another. Prayer is also offered individually after each Sun. Worship Service. All sharing is kept confidential unless you would like to be added or add someone else to our prayer chain.

Communion Assistant

As a communion assistant you would assist the miniseter with the elements/wine and bread, for those coming forward to receive through intinction (dipping the bread given into the chalice of wine). The assitsant more specifically holds the chalice.
